LUDUS LEVEL UP: THE LION KING EXPERIENCE 

 

The Lion King Experience is a rigorous and immersive curriculum that will challenge your students both academically and artistically. The sessions explore a variety of theatrical skills and fulfill many of the Common Core State Standards, which have been adopted by most states.

In addition to a performance license to produce The Lion King JR., a 60-minute adaptation created especially for the strengths and skill level of middle school students, The Lion King Experience includes a rigorous 18-session curriculum that explores the fundamentals of theater-making including:

  • Acting

  • Design

  • Music

  • Playwriting

  • Choreography

  • Directing

  • Technical Theater

  • Stage Management

  • More

 

Broadway's The Lion King has captivated the imagination of audiences around the world and now for the first time ever students have the opportunity to produce an adaptation of this one-of-a-kind musical. In addition to performing this hour long adaption of the Broadway show. Disney's The Lion King Experience features a multi-media curriculum designed to introduce you to a wide range of theatrical skills. 

Grades 4-9

Tuition Fee: $400

 

Audition Dates: JANUARY 4 - 5, 2019

Callback Dates: JANUARY 5, 6, 2019

Performance Dates: MARCH 15 - 23, 2019

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 32 measures from one songs memorized from musical theatre canon

  • One minute monologue memorized

  • One copy of your 8x11 headshot (can be school photo)

  • One copy of your resume

  • Resume and headshot will not be returned

Apprentices experience a customized learning plan and are provided mentorship by theatre veterans as they learn theatre skills. Participants develop a broad-based appreciation for the art of musical theatre. Students will enjoy a learning experience that will further their skills in the theatre world and teach lessons valuable in all aspects of life. LPA is a family environment with a focus on creating experiences, friendships, and life skills that our students will cherish for years to come. All apprentices will develop skills focused in their area of study which can be anything from production management to directing. We are looking for individuals with strong work ethics, a want to learn and gain a broader understanding of musical theatre, and strong leadership skills.

Grades 10-12

Tuition Fee: $200

Costumes/Sewing, Set Construction, Lighting, Music Direction, Directing, Stage Management, Production Management, Choreography, Public Relations (Advertisement/Fundraising)
